Hi Everyone

In this post I wanted to tell you a little about business models, business models can make or break your business yet they are the number 1 thing that people overlook when setting up a new business.

Get the model right first time and you will save a great deal of time, money and effort.

Take a look at the video below describing 2 business models and leave me posts and telling me what you think.

Residual Income

Author: admin

Hi Everyone

This post is about residual passive income, in other words you find a customer once and paid again and again.

The majority of marketers are now starting to focus on residual income, the smart marketers know that it is just as easy to find a customer who is willing to pay you a monthly fee as it is to find a one off sale.

The nice thing about residual income is that once you have built up your business, you will get paid regardless of whether you are working or not.

If for instance you build up a customer base of 1000 customers and each one of these is paying you £10 per month then you start that month with £10,000 in the bank, this is a nice place to be for any business as your residual income will cover the cost of any over heads leaving you to concentrate on building your business rather than trying to make money just to cover the over heads.

There are a number of ways we can introduce continuity into our business

1) find a product that we can charge for on a monthly basis

2) membership sites

3) newsletters

4) subscriptions.

These are to name just a few.

People don’t realise but continuity models are all over the place, your monthly mobile phone phone bill, your gas and electricity bills, magazine subscriptions, sky television etc these are all based on the continuity model.

You need to try and fit a continuity model into your business, once you have done so you to will enjoy the benefits of residual income.

Until next time.

Brand Name Goods From China

Author: admin
Posted on: May 29th, 2008

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to take a little time to go over the concept of buying brand name goods from China.

Before going through Import Mentor most people tend to take a look at Alibaba and notice how cheap you can buy items such as nokia n95’s, apple i phones, GHD’s and tom tom sat nav. It is a very bad idea to go down this road as 99% of the time you will scammed! Most of the time you will either not recieve them or they will be fake, you don’t want to go up against these large companies in a legal battle.

KEEP AWAY FROM BRAND NAME GOODS!!!

Another major factor of buying brand name goods is marketing, can you afford to go up against the likes of Sony or some big chain store with your marketing budget? Probably not.

There is literally thousands of unbranded items you can start selling which you can source for super cheap in China, nobody looks at brand names when buying items for their pets or garden furniture etc etc.

Take the time and do some research find your market and then find an unbranded product to suit, this way you can even start your own brand if you wish…

Good luck

Another Niche Finding Method

Author: admin
Posted on: May 7th, 2008

Hi evereyone

Just the other day I was researching some new new products  online, this research consisted of looking in forums to see if there are particular groups of people interested in a specific product or niche.

By looking in forums and checking out how many people have posted comments and replies to questions, you get a good idea of the size of your market and how passionate they are about their niche.

Then, the same night my wife and I went shopping in the local supermarket. I thought I would browse the magazine section. Then it hit me! Here was a great untapped resource! A source for finding groups of people who are passionate, groups of people who share interests and hobbies. There were magazines on photography, fishing, motorbikes, cycling, computers, the list goes on!

If publishers are willing to spend thousands a month releasing magazines for these groups of people, then we know these groups of people are already interested in these topics and therefore the products we have to offer. This saves you time and ultimately MONEY!

Another thing which I considered, is the fact we could advertise our products in these publications. We already know people are interested in these topics, so it is the easiest way to reach a large market with just one advertising method.

We will have a look at magazine advertising in our next blog.

Until next time
